ELIJAH TO RETURN TO REVEAL THE FULLNESS

Joseph Smith 1: 37-39 Behold I will REVEAL the PRIEST-HOOD by the hand of ElijAH before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the PROMISES MADE TO THE FATHERS, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their FATHERS. If it were not so, the whole earth would be utterly wasted at His coming. The day cometh that shall burn as an oven and THEY that come shall burn them. (Visit from Moroni- Sept 21, 1823))

D&C 2: 1 Behold, I will reveal unto you the Priesthood, by the hand of Elijah the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 2 And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers. 3 If it were not so, the whole earth would be utterly wasted at His coming. Sept 21 1823 Feast of Trumpets

D&C 110: 13-16 ElijAH said the time has fully come to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children & the children to the fathers and therefore, the keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands, and by this ye may know that the Great and dreadful day of the Lord is near. April 3, 1836 (Note: ElijAH did not say he had come to Re-Veal the Priesthood – The Holy Order – see Alma 13 and Joseph did not speak of this meeting with ElijAH but rather continued to speak of the return of ElijAH needing. to return to "reveal the Holy Priesthood before the great and terrible day of the Lord).

TPJS page 172-3 Given Oct 5, 1840 ElijAH is the last one to hold the keys of the Priest-hood, and who will before the last dispensation (Ends?), restore the authority and deliver the “KEYS” of the Priest-hood, in order that the ordainences may be attended to in righteousness. Why send ElijAH? Because he holds the “keys” of author-ity to administer in ALL the ordainances of the Priest-hood, and without the author-ity to administer in ALL the ordainances, the ordainances could not be administered in righteousness, which ordainances will be continued when the Priest-hood is Re-stored with ALL its author-ity, power, and blessings. He will return when the Temple is built and the Sons of Levi be Purified. (Temple in Zion) We behold the “Keys” of this Priest-hood consists in obtaining the VOICE of JehovAH that he (we) may talk with Him.” Doc. History 4 : 207-212

D&C 124:28 He (ElijAH) must come and RESTORE AGAIN that which was lost unto you, or which He (the Lord) hath taken away, even the FULNESS OF THE PRIESTHOOD. Given Jan. 1841

TPJS Page 321 Given Aug 13, 1843 The world is reserved unto burning in the last days. He SHALL send Elijah the prophet, and he shall REVEAL the covenants of the fathers in relation to the children, and the covenants of the children in relation to the fathers. The servants of God must be sealed in their foreheads meaning the (New and) Everlasting Covenant thereby making their calling and election sure.

D&C 1: 15-16 15 For they (ye) have strayed from Mine ordainances, and have broken Mine Everlasting Covenant. 16 They (ye) seek not the Lord to establish His righteousness, but every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own (self as) god, whose image is in the likeness of the world, and whose substance is that of an idol, which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon, even Babylon the great, which shall fall. TPJS Page 322-323 Given August 27, 1843 The Melchizekek Priesthood is to have power of “endless lives.” There are Three Grand orders of Priesthood. Those holding (Re-Ceiving) the Melchizedek Priesthood are kings and Priests of the Most High God, holding the Keys of Power and administering endless lives to the sons and daughters of Adam. How shall God rescue this generation? HE WILL (yet) SEND ELIJAH THE PROPHET. The anointing and sealing is to be called, elected and made sure, without father, without mother, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but made “like unto the Son of God”, abiding a priest continually. THE MELCHIZIKEK PRIESTHOOD HOLDS THE RIGHT FROM THE ETERNAL GOD, and not (given) by father or mother. (See JST Gen.14: The 2nd Order of Priesthood is Patriarchal authority. Finish the temple and God will fill IT with Power and you will then receive more knowledge concerning this Priesthood. The 3rd is the Levitical Priesthood, to administer in outward ordinances and made without an oath. But the Priesthood of Melchizedek is by and oath and covenant. The Holy Ghost is God’s messenger to administer in ALL those priesthoods. (NOTE: The Priest-Hood (covering of Light, garment of Light) operates by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

TPJS Page 330 Given January 20, 1844 I will speak on the subject of the coming of ElijAH in the last days. He shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. The word “turn” should be translated BIND, or seal. What is the object of this important mission? OR HOW IS IT TO BE FULFILLED? The keys are (yet) to be delivered, and Zion to be built up. The night (will) come when no man can work; the Saints will be divided, broken up, and scattered, before we can get our salvation secure.

TPJS Page 335-341 Given March 10, 1844 The spirit, power, and calling of Elijah is that ye have the power to hold the key of the revelations, ordinances, oracles, powers and endowments of the FULLNESS of the MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD and the Kingdom of God on the earth, to Re-Ceive, obtain and PERFORM ALL the ordinances belonging to the kingdom of God. He should send ElijAH to seal the children to the fathers, and the fathers to the children. Without us they cannot be made perfect, nor we without them. What you seal on earth, by the keys of Elijah is sealed in heaven; this is the Power of Elijah. The Power of Elijah is sufficient to make our calling and election sure. We cannot be perfect without the fathers; we must have revelation from them. David was a King but he never did obtain the Power of Elijah and the FULLNESS of the Priesthood. The Kingdom of David is to be taken from him and given to another by the name of David in the Last days. Go ahead and seal all you can when you get to heaven that what you seal on earth should be sealed in heaven, and walk through the gate of heaven and CLAIM what (you) seal, and those that follow (you) and (your) counsel. Elias is a forerunner, Elijah IS (yet) TO COME AFTER, holding the KEYS OF POWER, building the Temple to the Capstone, placing the seals of the MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD upon the HOUSE of Israel, making all things ready, then Messiah will come to His TEMPLE, which is last of all. Messiah is above the Power of Elijah, but Elijah was to come and prepare the way before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, although Elias might begin it.

D&C 84: 26 And the lesser priest-hood continued, which priest-hood holdeth the key of the ministering of angels and the Preparatory gospel; 27 Which gospel (there are 2) is the (preparatory) gospel of repentance and of baptism, and the remission of sins, and the Law of carnal commandments,

33 For whoso is faithful unto the (Receiving) these two priest-hoods of which I have spoken, and the magnifying their calling, are sanctified by “The Spirit” unto the Re-NEW-ing of their bodies.

34 They become the sons of Moses and of Aaron and the seed of Abraham, and the church and kingdom, and the elect of God. 44 For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the Mouth of God. 45 For the “WORD” (Christ) of the Lord is Truth (I AM the Truth), and whatsoever is Truth is Light, and whatsoever is Light is Spirit, even The Spirit of Jesus Christ.

46 And “The Spirit” giveth Light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlighteneth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to The VOICE of The Spirit.

47 And every one that hearkeneth to the “VOICE” of The Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father. 48 And The Father teacheth him of The (New and Everlasting) Covenant, which He has renewed and confirmed upon you this day (6 elders and 11 High Priests), which is confirmed upon you for your sakes, and not for your sakes only, but for the sake of the whole world.

49 And the whole world lieth in sin, and groaneth under darkness and under the bondage of sin. 50 And by this you may know they are under the bondage of sin, because they come not unto Me. 51 For whoso cometh not unto Me is under the bondage of sin.

52 And whoso receiveth not My “VOICE” is not acquainted with My VOICE, and is not of Me.

53 And by this you may know the righteous from the wicked, and that the whole world groaneth under sin and darkness even now. 54 And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received—

55 Which vanity and unbelief have brought the whole church under condemnation.

56 And this condemnation resteth upon the children of Zion, EVEN ALL.

57 And they shall remain under this condemnation until they Re-Pent and Re-member the NEW Covenant, even (in) the Book of Mormon and (in) the former commandments.

58 That they may bring forth fruit meet for their Father’s kingdom; otherwise there remaineth a scourge and judgment to be poured out upon the children of Zion.
