SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE IS IN CHRIST ALONE AND IN NO OTHER WAY

ye “Re-ceive” Me not in the world neither do ye know Me. But if ye “Re-ceive” Me in the world, then shall ye Know Me, and shall “Re-ceive” your exaltation;

The Prophet Joseph: The things of God are of deep import; -- and time, and experience, and careful, ponderous, solemn thoughts only can find them out. Thy mind, if thou wilt lead a soul unto salvation, must stretch as high as the utmost heavens, and search into and contemplate the darkest abyss, and the broad expanse of eternity – THOU MUST COMMUNE WITH GOD. How much more dignified and noble are the thoughts of God, than the vain imaginations of the human heart. How vain and trifling have been our spirits, our conference, our councils, our meetings, our private as well as public conversations, - too low, too mean too vulgar, too condescending for us as called of God to the purposes of His Will. We are called to Preach His Gospel by the power of His Spirit, to hold the keys of the Mysteries of those things which have been hid from the world until NOW. If you hope to be with Christ, you MUST put off all your false Traditions. That wicked one cometh and taketh away truth and LIGHT from the children of men, by the Traditions of the fathers. This is Life Eternal, to KNOW the Only true God, & Jesus Christ. How many of you have communed with Him, seen Him, Heard Him, for if you have not, you have NOT Eternal Life.

D&C 132: 22-26 For strait is the gate, and narrow the way that leadeth unto the eternal life and continuation of lives, and few there be that find it, because ye “Re-ceive” Me not in the world neither do ye know Me. But if ye “Re-ceive” Me in the world, then shall ye Know Me, and shall “Re-ceive” your exaltation; that where I am ye shall be also. This is eternal lives--to know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He hath sent. I am He. For broad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the deaths; and many there are that go in thereat, because they “Re-ceive” Me not.

Moroni 10:30-33 I exhort you to Come unto Christ, and lay hold of every good Gift for every good thing cometh of Christ. Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the Blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot.

Omni 1: 26 I would that ye should Come unto Christ, and partake of His salvation, and the power of His redemption. Yea, come unto Him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto Him, and as the Lord liveth, ye will be saved.

2 Peter 1:3-4 ALL things that pertain to (Eternal) Life and Godliness come through the “KNOWLEDGE” of Christ.

Elder Holland: Safety for the Soul Oct 2009: Love. Healing. Help. Hope in Christ to counter all troubles in all times—including these end of times. That is the safe harbor God gives to us in personal or public days of despair. That is the message with which the Book of Mormon begins, and that is the (purpose and) message with which it ends, calling all to “come unto Christ, and be perfected in him. That phrase—taken from Moroni’s final lines of testimony, written 1,000 years after Lehi’s vision—is a dying man’s testimony of the only true way.

Prophet Joseph Smith: The fundamental principle of our religion is the testimony of Jesus Christ, and ALL OTHER THINGS which pertain to our religion are only appendages to that.” TPJS Page 121.

The 1st principle of His Gospel is that WE may walk and talk with Him, as one man does with another.

Pres Hunter: “The world is FULL of people who are willing to tell us, “Do as I say”. Surely we have no lack of advice givers on about every subject. And, of course, ONLY ONE CAN RIGHTFULLY Say “DO as I Do”. Even the best of mortals are flawed some way or another. ONLY CHRIST CAN BE OUR (Focus and) IDEAL. ONLY HE CAN SAY WITHOUT ANY RESERVATION – Follow ME, Learn of ME, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE. I AM THE LAW AND THE LIGHT. Look unto ME and YE SHALL LIVE. We must KNOW Christ BETTER than we know Him now, for only then will we drink Water Springing up unto Eternal Life.

D&C 76: 40-42 THIS IS THE GOSPEL, the glad tidings, which the voice out of the heavens bore record unto us--That he came into the world, even Jesus, to be crucified for the world, and to bear the sins of the world, and to sanctify the world, and to cleanse it from all unrighteousness; That through him ALL might be saved whom the Father had put into his power and made by him; Who glorifies the Father, and saves ALL the works of His hands.

3 Ne. 27:10-21 THIS IS THE GOSPEL I have given you--that I came into the world to do (My Father’s) will, that I might draw ALL men unto Me. No thing entereth into His Rest save it be by washing their garments in My Blood, because of Faith in Me.

D&C 33:12-13 THIS is MY gospel: that ye shall have faith in Me or ye can in nowise be saved; And upon THIS rock I will build My church; yea, upon this rock ye are built, and if ye continue, the gates of hell shall not prevail against you. See D&C 10: 63-70 for an understanding of Who is My Church

2 Nephi 25: 26-27 23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.

24 And, notwithstanding we believe in Christ, we keep the law, and look forward with steadfastness unto Christ, until the law shall all be fulfilled.

25 For, for this end was the law given; wherefore the law hath become dead unto us, and we are made alive in Christ because of our faith; yet we keep the law because of the commandments.

26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

27 Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.

28 And now behold, my people, ye are a stiffnecked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny all the prophets and the law.

29 And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.

Alma 22: 14 Since (all of) man has fallen, he could NOT merit anything of himself.

2 Nephi 2:4-8 "…The way is prepared from the fall of man, and salvation is FREE. And men are instructed sufficiently that they know good from evil. And the law is given unto men. And by the law, NO FLESH IS JUSTIFIED; or by the law MEN ARE CUT OFF. Yea, by the temporal law they were cut off; and also, by the spiritual law they perish from that which is good, and become miserable forever. Wherefore, redemption cometh IN AND THROUGH THE HOLY MESSIAH. He offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto NONE ELSE can the ends of the law be answered. How great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that THERE IS NO FLESH THAT CAN DWELL IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah.

Colossians 1: 14-29 We have redemption through His Blood, who is the (Very) image of the Invisible God. For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and Invisible, all things are created by Him and FOR Him; And He is before all things, and by HIM all things Consist. And He is the head of the body, the church. For it pleased the Father that IN HIM should ALL FULNESS Dwell, even the Mystery which hath been hid from ages and from all generations past, but now is made manifest to His Saints, to whom God would make manifest this mystery of Christ – WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU!!! For In Him dwelleth ALL the fullness of GOD Bodily. Matt 11:28 - Jesus Our Savior: Come unto Me, all ye that Labor & are Heavy Laden, and I will give you Rest, (which Rest is the Fulness of My Glory- D&C 84:23-24) (and ye shall partake of the Tree of Life).

Pres. James E Faust: OUR SALVATION DEPENDS ON BELIEVING IN AND ACCEPTING THE AT-ONE-MENT! Through the At-One-ment, which lies beyond comprehension of man, THE SAVIOR’S GRACE PURIFIES AND CAN PERFECT US.

Alma 33:22-23; 34:5-17 Plant the Word, the Son of God, in your hearts. There must be an At-One-Ment made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish. Behold, THIS IS THE WHOLE MEANING OF THE LAW, EVERY WHIT POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE, and that will be the Son of God, infinite and eternal. And thus he shall bring salvation to ALL THOSE WHO BELIEVE ON HIS NAME; this being the intent of this last sacrifice to bring about the bowels of mercy, which over-powereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance. And thus MERCY CAN SATISFY THE DEMANDS OF JUSTICE, and encircles them in the arms of safety, while he that exercises no faith unto repentance is exposed to the whole law of the demands of justice; therefore ONLY unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the great and eternal plan of redemption. Ye may begin to exercise your faith (in Christ) unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon His Holy NAME, that He would have MERCY UPON YOU.

Helaman 5:12 And now remember that it is upon the Rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the Rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build, they cannot fail.

D&C 11: 28-30 I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am the Life and the Light of the world. I am the same who came unto mine own and mine own “Re-ceived” Me not. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that as many as “Re-ceive” Me, to them will I give power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on My Name.

3 Nephi 9: 13-17, 22 “If ye will come unto me, ye shall have Eternal Life. Mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I “Re-ceive”; and blessed are those who come unto Me. As many as have “Re-ceived” Me, to them have I given to become the Sons of God, and to as many as shall believe on MY NAME, for by Me redemption cometh. I am the Light and Life of the world….and whoso cometh unto Me with a broken heart, him will I baptize with FIRE!

Alma 22: 14 Since man had fallen, he could NOT merit anything of himSelf.

3 Nephi 11:28-39 And this is My doctrine which the Father hath given: I bear record that the Father commandeth all men, everywhere, to repent and believe in Me. And whoso believeth in Me, and is baptized, the same shall be saved; and they are they who shall inherit the kingdom of God. This is My doctrine, whoso believeth in Me believeth in the Father also; and unto him will the Father bear record of Me, for He will visit him with fire and with the Holy Ghost. And the Holy Ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and Me; for the Father, and I, and the Holy Ghost are One. Again I say unto you, ye must repent, and become as a little child, or ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God. This is my doctrine, and whoso buildeth upon this rock, the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.

Elder Joseph B Wirthlin: No amount of money can purchase exaltation. Eternal life is a GIFT from a loving Heavenly Father offered FREELY and LIBERALLY to ALL who come unto Jesus the Christ, “THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; no one cometh unto the Father, but by Him.”

John 1: 15 But as many as “Re-ceived” him; to them gave He power to become the Sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE ON HIS NAME.” As many as believe on his Name shall “Re-ceive” of His fullness. And of His fullness have all we “Re-ceived”, even Eternal Life, through His grace…for except it is through Him no man can be saved.

John 3: 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth NOT the Son shall NOT see life. John 6: 47-51 He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am living bread, which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever.

ROMANS 3: 19-23 “By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified; for by the law is the knowledge of sin... For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6: 23 But the GIFT OF GOD is Eternal Life, THROUGH Jesus, our Lord.

Romans 10: 1-13 Christ is the END OF THE LAW for righteousness to everyone that believeth. For the Lord is Treasure unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED.

Ephesians 2: 8 By grace ye are saved through faith, NOT of yourselves, it is the GIFT OF GOD!

Galatians 2: 19-21 For if righteousness comes by the law, then CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

2 Nephi 10: 24 Remember that It is ONLY IN and through the Grace of God that ye are SAVED.

1 Nephi 12: 10 Because of faith IN the Lamb of God, their garments are made white in His blood. 1 Nephi 13: 40 The Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world, and ALL men must come unto Him, or they CANNOT be saved.

Mosiah 3: 11-21 Believe that salvation was, and is, and is to come, ONLY IN AND THROUGH the atoning blood of Christ; and become a saint through the Atonement of Christ, and become as a child, submissive, meek, humble, full of Love, willing to submit to ALL things the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon you.

Mosiah 5: 7-13 Ye shall be called the children of Christ, for this day HE HATH SPIRITUALLY BEGOTTEN YOU; for your hearts are changed through faith on HIS NAME; ye are Born of Him, His Sons and Daughters, and under this NAME ye ARE made free, and there is NO OTHER NAME whereby ye can be made free, and there is no other NAME given whereby salvation cometh. Ye may have Salvation AND Eternal Life, through the Power and mercy of Him who created ALL things.

Mosiah 12-16 And now, ought ye not to tremble and remember that ONLY IN AND THROUGH Christ can ye be saved? If ye teach the Law, also teach them that redemption cometh only through Christ the Lord, who is the very ETERNAL FATHER.

Alma 5: 21 There can no man be saved except his garments are washed white; yea, his garments must be all purified until they are cleansed from ALL stain, through the blood of Him."

Alma 42: 1-26 Whosoever will come, MAY COME and partake of the waters of life FREELY; and whosoever will not come the same is not compelled to come.

Helaman 3: 27-35 The gate of Heaven is open unto ALL, even to those who will believe on the NAME of Jesus Christ.

Helaman 5: 8-12 O remember that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, Who shall come to redeem the world, but He should not come to redeem them IN their sins, but to redeem them from their sins.

Helaman 8:4-5 As many as should look upon the Son of God with faith might live, to that Life which is ETERNAL.

3 Nephi 12:19-20 I have given you the commandments of my Father that ye shall Believe in Me, and repent of your sins, and come unto Me with a broken heart and contrite spirit. Therefore, come unto Me and BE ye Saved. For except ye shall keep my commandments, which I have commended you AT THIS TIME, ye shall (not) enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

3 Nephi 15: 9 Behold I AM THE LAW AND THE LIGHT! Look unto Me and endure to the end, I will give you Eternal Life.

Ether 3: 14 Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In Me shall ALL mankind have life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on MY NAME; and they shall become My sons and My daughters. Moroni 7: 37-38 For NO man can be saved, save they shall have faith on His NAME.

D&C 18: 21-25 There is NONE other name given whereby man can be saved.

D&C 45: 3-9 Unto them that believed on My NAME, gave I power to obtain Eternal Life.

D&C 49: 5 I am God, and have sent mine Only Begotten Son into the world for the redemption of the world, and he that “Re-ceiveth” Him shall be saved, and he that “Re-ceiveth” Him not shall be damned.

Salvation & Eternal Life is in Christ ON
